MEDICARE CUT $500 BILLION -- OBAMA, PELOSI, REID ABANDON SENIORS AND BABY BOOMERS -- NO SOCIALIZED MEDICINE FOR THE US

When Senator Edward "Ted" Kennedy died Deval Patrick, Governor of Massachusetts, appointed an interim Senator to fill Kennedy's seat, Paul Kirk. Kirk, a long time aide to Kennedy, was a political appointment to protect the number of votes in the United States Senate for the process of forwarding OBAMACARE. Kirk was appointed for one reason and one reason only.

The Massachusetts state legislature was even forced to pass legislation that allowed Patrick to make this appointment depriving "We the People" of the constitutional protection to select our senatorial representative.

While this action provides evidence that politicos appoint their buddies who will move in lockstep with their agendas, the above video proves an additional point. That point is that the Obama administration is reaching down into state governments and interfering with the representation "We the People" are entitled to under the Constitution.

A dot to connect is that the moneys from the federal government directed at growing the economy were mostly directed at state governments. Rahm Emanuel's hand is evident in this distribution of monies that hold a pay back condition, payback as in political support payback.

The Obama administration is doing anything and everything to consolidate power into the federal government and sidestepping Congressional oversight to bolster the power and control of the executive branch.

The health care hoax is a foundational piece in the Obama political agenda to gain further control over "We the People." The passage of a federal government controlled health care system puts the bureaucracy into the most intimate areas of each citizens life, hence, more central control.

The above little video demonstrates that these guys even give the same speeches. At the risk of being considered fringe, this consolidation of power and central control looks a lot like governmental systems that the Constitution was written to prevent.

Hopefully Deval Patrick will be defeated in the upcoming Massachusetts Governors race. When that happens be on the look out for a federal appointment for this Obama puppet.

Obamacare must be stopped. It is the foundation for the advancement of socializing the United States.

SENATOR MAX BAUCUS, CHAIRMAN OF SENATE FINANCE COMMITTEE AND OBAMA BUDDY MUST RESIGN FOR IMMORAL AND UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR

Max Baucus must resign. If not his seat in the Senate, minimally his Chairmanship of the Finance Committee of the robust body perpetrating the health care hoax on the United States citizenry at the behest of President, Barak Hussein Obama.

While Tiger Woods is making headlines because of his improprieties with call girls and myriad numbers of women, Max Baucus, Senator from Montana and Chairman of the powerful Senate Finance Committee is dallying around in his own domain of sexual/female driven escapades. The one big difference between these two men, when one juxtaposes their dalliances, is that Tiger Woods, at least, is spending his own money. Backus has spent the money of “We the People” to keep his ego and other things warm and satisfied.

In the land of political correctness (PC), also known as la la land, one would be weary of assassinating another’s character for some PC reason. Do note that PC has about as many definitions as there are opinions, similar to another characteristic of us humans. Baucus, like Woods, has assailed his character on his own.

Reporting on the questionable moral and ethical behavior is the responsibility of an enlightened press and citizenry. The reader must assess the evidence and apply some critical thinking as to what might be the implications of the questionable and perpetual behavior and how it impacts their life as a citizen of the United States.

Additionally, the demonstration of questionable moral and subsequent ethical foundation in personal behavior would lead one to inquire, and maybe believe that the person is immoral and unethical in all their behavior or much of their behavior. That is to say, if someone lies in the kitchen if they move themselves to the bathroom are they any less a liar?

The reader will find a multitude of links later in this blog post of articles that present the facts around the questionable behavior of Senator Max Baucus. Baucus has used his position to engage with the White House to influence the decision making process in the appointment of a United States Attorney. This neutralizes Baucus’ objectivity in dealing with the pending health care hoax. Baucus was and is influenced/biased by his activities with a paramour and his connection with the White House, most likely Rahm Emanuel the crisis creator and manipulator for Obama.

MEDICARE CUT $500 BILLION -- HEALTH CARE AND POLITICS DO NOT MIX -- PAY THE GOVERNMENT HEALTH CARE PREMIUM OR GO TO JAIL

Stop Obama, Pelosi, Reid health care legislation.

The real question at the foundation of the argument coming from this source is: Does bigger government lead to efficiency and lower costs?

In order to answer that question one might look at the product of bigger government historically. Social security, while checks are still being sent out, is on the verge of bankruptcy. Medicare, while still functioning to some degree that enables seniors to get health coverage, is also approaching fiduciary implosion. Further, the Obama administration has been stating from the outset that corruption in the government managed medicare and medicaid systems is a huge dollar problem.

The health care issue, as addressed in the current legislation of 2042 pages of text, is sweeping law that puts the government in charge of health care policy making and delivery of health care services. Yes, right down to how the physical plants are managed. The government may not be taking title to the properties but with this level of in depth regulatory control the bureaucrats are, in fact, managing the properties

Additionally, the present legislation also carries with it the penalty of fines and jail if one does not participate. If liberty is about choices, the present legislation dilutes the liberty of each and every citizen. The only folks excluded from being subject to the new law are members of Congress. That exclusion creates questions in the mind of this citizen.

At this writing the federal government is in the auto business, the banking business and if this health care bill is passed in any way near its present form the government will control all aspects of the health care industry, one sixth of the US GDP.

At the risk of sounding arrogant and after living 4 years in Washington, D.C., where the weekend begins on Wednesday, this writer knows of no bureaucrat capable of making better choices for me and my loved ones in the health care domain than me.

The issue, for this independent, is one of liberty and choice. Passage of this legislation diminishes choice (liberty).

MEDICARE CUT $500 BILLION - OBAMA CONGRESS ABANDON SENIORS AND BABY BOOMERS -- GOVERNMENT TAKE OVER STEALS LIBERTY

The following article is published at the Urban Conservative

CBO Report Shows ObamaCare Raises Premiums
December 3rd, 2009 Mike Gonzalez

Media coverage of the CBO scoring of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s health care bill left out some of the fine print and heroic assumptions that were in the report. The Heritage Foundation believes they merit your consideration.

Premiums Rise

The media quotes the CBO as saying that ObamaCare would not make premiums rise for people who get their insurance through their job or other groups. This is mostly because millions of people would no longer receive coverage from their employer, and instead would buy insurance in the so-called “non-group” market that sells individual health plans. These would likely be older and sicker Americans.

While this transition could make premiums cheaper for those who would continue to receive health benefits through their workplace, they would likely see higher taxes down the road for subsidies that would be offered to people buying individual insurance, the CBO reports. And the CBO notes that other taxes imposed on medical device manufacturers, insurers and other providers would be passed onto consumers “in the form of higher premiums for private coverage.”

Additionally, the CBO said Sen. Reid’s health care bill would raise premium rates for people who buy it in the so-called “non-group” markets, and these increases would be 10 to 13 percent. So anyone who cites the CBO as saying Americans would not see their premiums jump assumes that employers will not dump their workers into an exchange where people get insurance individually.

There Is a Crowd-Out Effect

And that’s an assumption that goes too far. In fact, the CBO notes that roughly 6.4 million people who have work-based health coverage under the current law would lose it under Sen. Reid’s bill. That’s because some businesses would find it unaffordable to offer health care to their workers under the Reid bill. They’ll opt for paying the $750 fine and dumping their workers onto a health exchange. Many older and sicker employees would likely lose their job-based coverage, even if they like it, according to the CBO. Businesses would push these workers to get their health care in the “non-group” or individual market because it’s cheaper for companies. But as noted above, it’s not a better deal for the individuals.

Younger People Assumed to Fall in Line

At the other end of the spectrum, the CBO analysts make the assumption that younger, healthier workers are going to comply with the “individual mandate” in the bill. That’s the one that forces every American to buy health insurance or pay a fine (a provision whose constitutionality has been and will continue to be questioned). However, these younger workers will look at the option between a much more expensive, mandated health plan — providing benefits they don’t want or need — and a less expensive annual fine and be much more likely to forgo the health insurance plan and pay the fine. As the CBO reports, it’s the younger workers who are the biggest losers in this “reform.”

OBAMACARE IS SLAVERY -- GOVERNMENT WILL BE THE MASTER -- OBAMACARE IS A HEALTH CARE HOAX

While we know that Harry Reid has been giving "We the People" the bird for some time, he has now made this Obamacare hoax personal with the other side of the aisle and thrown the not so subtle race card. The text below is from the article under this link.

Harry Reid is giving "We the People" the finger and shouting slurs and Max Baucus is using his influence peddling ability to get his paramour a United States' Attorney position. One hopes that the people in Nevada and Montana are watching these fellows and will vote them out in the next election.

Reid Compares Opponents of Health Care Reform to Supporters of Slavery

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid took his GOP-blasting rhetoric to a new level Monday, comparing Republicans who oppose health care reform to lawmakers who clung to the institution of slavery more than a century ago.

The Nevada Democrat, in a sweeping set of accusations on the Senate floor, also compared health care foes to those who opposed women's suffrage and the civil rights movement -- even though it was Sen. Strom Thurmond, then a Democrat, who unsuccessfully tried to filibuster the Civil Rights Act of 1957 and it was Republicans who led the charge against slavery.

Senate Republicans on Monday called Reid's comments "offensive" and "unbelievable."

But Reid argued that Republicans are using the same stalling tactics employed in the pre-Civil War era.

"Instead of joining us on the right side of history, all the Republicans can come up with is, 'slow down, stop everything, let's start over.' If you think you've heard these same excuses before, you're right," Reid said Monday. "When this country belatedly recognized the wrongs of slavery, there were those who dug in their heels and said 'slow down, it's too early, things aren't bad enough.'"

He continued: "When women spoke up for the right to speak up, they wanted to vote, some insisted they simply, slow down, there will be a better day to do that, today isn't quite right.

"When this body was on the verge of guaranteeing equal civil rights to everyone regardless of the color of their skin, some senators resorted to the same filibuster threats that we hear today."

That seemed to be a reference to Thurmond's famous 1957 filibuster -- the late senator switched parties several years later.

Reid's office stood by the remarks, with spokesman Jim Manley saying Republicans have "done nothing but obstruct health care" in the Senate.

"Today's feigned outrage is nothing but a ploy to distract from the fact they have no plan to lower the cost of health care, stop insurance company abuses or protect Medicare," Manley said.

But Republicans said they were genuinely appalled. Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, said Reid's remarks were over the top.

"That is extremely offensive," he told Fox News. "It's language that should never be used, never be used. ... Those days are not here now."

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who on the Senate floor read from this FoxNews.com article and asked that it be placed in the record, called on Reid to return to the floor and, if not apologize, at least explain what he meant.

Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., suggested Reid was starting to "crack" under the pressure of the health care reform debate.

"I think it's beneath the dignity of the majority leader," Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., said. "I personally am insulted."

GLOBAL WARMING A HOAX OF COOKED SCIENCE -- COULD HEALTH CARE REFORM BE A HOAX --

A myth on which the largest tax increase in the history of the country would have been imposed has been exposed, yes Mrs. Boxer exposed.

Health care reform is another myth/hoax on which the government will increase taxes, expand the bureaucracy and reduce the liberty of "We the People." Obamacare is "COOKED POLITICS" based on the objective of expanding government control over the citizenry for the benefit of the power center in Washington.

Investigate how long you have to wait for medical treatment in Canada and the UK.

Call your Senator and tell him/her if they want your vote to trash Obamacare.

After one watches this video one might think this nations leadership has confused loyalties. OBAMACARE IS A HOAX -- SOCIALIZED MEDICINE -- GOVERNMENT INTRUSION INTO PERSONAL LIVES -- LAW DOES NOT APPLY TO CONGRESS

The Obamacare health plan that is working through the Senate with the leadership of Senator Max Baucus, now a man of questionable integrity, and Senator Harry Reid, who has a 38% approval poll rating in his home state of Nevada, are still trying to jam the health care hoax down the throat of "We the People." Obama is even making an appearance on Sunday.

This absurd legislation, if it passes, will cost more money, provide substandard health care delivery services and impose itself into every intimate aspect of a citizens life.

This bill represents a socialist takeover of one sixth of the United States' economy.

Call your Senator and tell him or her to kill this bill.

The Senator is concerned about how it would look if he used his special influence as the Chairman of an important committee to get his girl friend the Presidential appointment.

The senator’s girlfriends’ name was submitted to the White House but the lady withdrew herself from the competition. Interesting?

The following scenario should be considered a novelette and just an interesting story.

The senator really wants to be his lady’s knight in shining armor so he calls an underling bureaucrat, political operative and suggests a meeting at Sam and Harrys’ on 19th Street, between M & N. While neither of them are big drinkers they know the customer gets a good pour at this bar and the clientele is harmless.

The senator is the chairman of a committee on which legislation is being formed that is an area where the President has invested tons of political capital. Keep in mind a United States Attorney is appointed by the President’s White House staff.

Remember also that the qualifications of the senator’s lady friend are impeccable. The conundrum is the senator wants to get her the job but not make it look like he is peddling influence or taking favors from the White House while in the midst of the formulation of very controversial legislation. It might appear that he is making decisions on the basis of the United States Attorney appointment for his gal-pal by the President rather than on the merits of the legislation under consideration.

The senator’s bureaucrat political operative embraces his four fingers of single malt and suggests the following solution on how to get the lady the job and make it appear that the Committee Chairman had nothing to do with taking favors from the White House.

The operative sips the golden nectar and says, “We can do this. I will get a high level carrier Justice Department buddy to act as a screener to review a list of potential candidates that you will submit. Make it a list of six. That should neutralize any cursory review and make it appear that you are trying to do the best thing for your state.” So far the senator is enamored with the idea.

The operative goes on, “I will instruct my buddy to reduce it to a list of three candidates which will include your friend and that will be the list we submit to the White House. In the mean time I will talk with the President’s chief-of-staff and alert him to the list and that you have a preference.”

In the mean time the girl friend decided that she did not want the job and again withdrew herself from the nomination process. No harm done, right?

If something like this really did happen would it be an ethical issue?

Would it be a moral issue?

If something similar to this scenario did happen how much confidence would the people have in the practical analysis supposedly being applied to the decisions being made around the legislation by this powerful Committee Chairman?

If something like this did happen would if detract from the confidence that citizens have for their government?

Thank goodness this is just a make-believe story. Imagine if these people were deciding on the future of our health care delivery. Imagine if the White House were involved in such behavior.

MEDICARE CUT $500 BILLION -- HARRY REID LIES -- MUST BE A DYSFUNCTION OF THE OBAMA DEMOCRATS -- HIGHER COSTS FOR ALL

Harry Reid is doing it to "We The People" again.

The following is an article published by The Heritage Foundation

Don't Be Fooled: You Will Pay More Under Obamacare

The Congressional Budget Office had more bad news on Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid's health-care bill this week -- even if some media outlets missed it.

CBO not only found that Reid's "reform" would hike premiums for millions of Americans who buy insurance in the non-group market, it noted other significant changes Reid would impose on the policies now held by millions more.

CBO predicts that 6.4 million people who now get insurance through their employer will lose that coverage and buy insurance on the non-group market: The bill would push many employers who have older or sicker workers to simply end their existing insurance plan, forcing these workers into the non-group market. Other older workers might be enticed into the non-group market because the rates will initially seem cheaper.

The New York Times and others hyped the CBO finding that Reid's plan wouldn't cause premium increases for large-group plans. But a chief reason CBO cited for that finding is that, as Reid forces older and sicker workers into the non-group market, many younger workers will be buying into that group coverage. Since this insurance "pool" will thus be covering people who need less care, its rates could actually drop -- except that other portions of Reid's plan would be likely to push the prices right back up.

And, again, millions who now get coverage this way would be forced out of the "pool."

CBO was very clear that Reid's bill would force up costs in the non-group market. Premiums for a family plan in the non-group market would shoot up some 16 percent a year for some families, CBO found.

The biggest losers would be the younger, healthier people who get insurance in the non-group market: Their premiums would rise because Reid's regulations would force them to subsidize that influx of older, sicker people that his "reform" drives out of the group market.

Actually, those taking the biggest hit would be the 10.5 million people that Reid would push and cajole into buying insurance to avoid paying a fine. These are mostly younger, healthier people who don't now think health insurance is a good deal for them. Reid would not only push them into buying insurance, he'd have them pay more to help subsidize those older, sicker folks being pushed into the non-group market.

Note, too, that Reid requires people to buy into government-approved plans that will include benefits people may not want to pay for. It's like forcing a basketball fan to buy Nets season tickets when he just wants to watch a single game when LeBron James comes to town.

Of course, CBO could be wrong -- younger people might opt to just pay the fine and not enter the non-group market. If they refuse to pay the subsidies Reid is counting on, the non-group pool would be older and sicker than average -- and premiums would quickly spiral out of control, turning that market into a disaster.

One more thing: CBO rightly notes that Reid is imposing new costs on all health plans -- "fees" that he's charging various medical providers that, as CBO notes, will inevitably be passed on to consumers via their insurance.

CBO generously assumes that various "efficiency" savings will offset some of these costs. But the value of those efficiency gains is more uncertain than CBO admits -- after all, if it was so easy to save money this way, private companies would already be doing it. If the gains don't materialize, many people who don't lose their existing group coverage thanks to Reid would still start seeing higher premiums.

Then there are folks targeted by Reid's 40 percent excise tax on "Cadillac" health plans. This tax would hit 30 million people its first year -- roughly a fifth of those who have group coverage now. And it's set to hit millions more with every year that passes -- because the cutoff for what counts as "Cadillac" is designed to not keep pace with health-care inflation.

No one knows how the tax will work out -- whether those it hits will wind up paying more, getting fewer benefits or some combination of the two. The CBO believes that different groups would be hit in vastly different ways. In some cases, it'll again prompt employers to cancel their insurance plans because their workers are high-cost -- dumping even more people into the non-group market.

Bottom line: The CBO report clearly shows that most Americans will wind up paying more for insurance if Reid's bill becomes law -- in many cases, a lot more.

Fifty-Three Percent of Americans Now Disapprove of Obama's Handling of Health-Care Issue, Says Gallup Poll
Monday, November 30, 2009
By Matt Cover, Staff Writer

(CNSNews.com) – A majority of Americans--53 percent--now disapprove of the way President Obama is handling the health care issue, and 49 percent want their members of Congress to vote ‘no’ on Obama’s government-led restructuring of the health-care system, according to a Gallup poll.

The report, released Monday, shows that only self-identified Democrats support the plan, with strong majorities of both Republicans and Independents opposing the president.

Gallup initially asked respondents which way they wanted their representatives to vote on health care reform. Forty-two percent said their congressman should vote "no" while only 35 percent said their congressman should vote in favor of the bill. Another 22 percent were undecided.

When those undecided respondents were pressed to say whether they "leaned" towards either a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’ vote, the gap between support and opposition tightened--with 49 percent saying they either leaned toward or desired a ‘no’ vote from Congress, while 44 percent said they either leaned toward or wanted a ‘yes’ vote on health reform.

The poll comes on the heels of a narrow Obama victory in the House, where Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) barely pushed through her version of the reform with only two votes to spare 220-215--218 votes were needed for passage. That victory did not move public opinion toward favoring the bill, Gallup found, as public support for the measure continued to decline.

The results were based on a Nov. 20-22 USA Today/Gallup poll, and are essentially unchanged from a poll conducted earlier this month, Gallup reported.

Those declining fortunes are bipartisan, as support for Obama’s health reform has declined steadily since early October, the last time Gallup found that a majority of Americans – 51 percent – supported it.

Support among all three party groups has declined since the early October high -- falling by 6 points among Democrats, 8 among independents, and 12 among Republicans.

More than three-quarters (76 percent) of Democrats – the only group that still supports health reform – want Congress to pass a bill. Independents and Republicans both oppose the plan by strong margins. Among Republicans, 86 percent said they would advise their representatives to vote against the bill, along with 53 percent of Independents. Only 37 percent of Independents want their members of Congress to support a reform bill, with 16 percent undecided.

Obama Losing Support on Health Care

A majority of Americans also disapprove of the way President Obama is handling the health care issue, providing further evidence of eroding support for the president and his primary policy goal and suggesting that his vaunted charisma may not be enough to sell the public on the lynchpin of his domestic agenda.

Fifty-three (53) percent of the public disapproves of Obama’s handling of the health-care issue, while only 40 percent approve – down from a mid-summer high of 44 percent approval. Opposition has grown over that time, climbing four percent between mid-August and late-November.

“This is slightly more negative than what Gallup found from July through September, and represents his worst review to date on this issue,” the poll concluded.

Though Democrats are the only group still supporting Obama on the health-care issue, even their support has fallen and fewer Democrats support Obama on health care than support him on other policy issues.

Seventy-four (74) percent of Democrats approve of Obama's handling of the issue, but this is below the better-than 80 percent of Democrats who approve of the job Obama is doing as president overall.

Republicans and independents, meanwhile, both overwhelmingly oppose the president, with independents opposing Obama by nearly 2 to 1.

GOP members are nearly unanimous in their views of Obama's work on health care, with 89 percent disapproving and 6 percent approving. Independents are nearly twice as likely to disapprove (58 percent) as to approve (33 percent.)”

According to Gallup, the poll has never found a “strong public mandate” in favor of health reform since it began polling on the issue. The highest support it has ever found was 51 percent in October, a number which has fallen steadily.
